Prospective Students

Eligibility for Admission:

Any person seeking admission in undergraduate medical or dental college shall be eligible having fulfilled the following mandatory criteria;

• Have passed the MDCAT examination;
• Obtained a higher secondary school certificate qualification (“HSCC”) or an equivalent 12th Grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and obtained a minimum of sixty percent (60%) marks therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the medical and dental council; and
• Passed the subjects of biology and chemistry and either physics or mathematics in the examination of the higher secondary school certificate of any equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan
• For the candidates who passed their HSSC pre-medical/equivalent exam last year (i.e. in 2021) and are now applying for admissions in medical/dental colleges for the session 2022-23, the marks obtained by them in science subject only (i.e., Biology , Chemistry and Physical/Mathematics) shall be used for the purpose of calculation of their merit.
• Applications shall only be received through online portal. Incomplete application or those submitted in violation of the prescribed procedure shall be rejected.Challan form to be obtained from college accounts office. Non-Payment of the processing fee within due date shall result in the rejection of the application. Print-out of application (final copy) and paid processing fee challan need not to be submitted to the college. in case of non-receiving of application print out and paid challan form of processing fee, the application will not be entertained

The merit and admission criteria for the ISLAM MEDICAL AND DENTAL COLLEGE is as under

MDCAT 50% Weightage
F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/HSSC/Equivalent 40% Weightage
Private Dental colleges 10% Weightage
